A Living Booklist for CC Cycle 1, Week 13
I hope you all had a wonderful break and are back and feeling new and fresh. Honestly, I can get weary in January. There must be something called a January slump and a February SLUMP. I love the feeling of new beginnings in January, but it can be paired with the heavy weight of responsibility and “going back” to school. Nonetheless, I am ever grateful for all the support I have received in the past month. Never doubt that God is with you and for you, even when the times are just hard. You are never alone!
Here is a booklist for Week 13 of Classical Conversations Cycle 1. The main theme that sticks out to me is “trading” and “bartering”. It makes me think a little bit of the game Settlers of Catan when I think about the history sentence for this week -just the trade part, if nothing else.
If you are looking for some good books to pair with the content you will be studying this week, I made a booklist for you, friends.
I hope you enjoy!
Newsletter Friends
I know we like to talk about books and dive into topics like LEGO, Charlotte Mason, and homeschooling together. Did you know that if you sign up to be my inbox friend (aka, sign up for the newsletter), you can get all of that and more?
I love sharing life with my most engaged audience. My newsletter people are where it’s at! I might not give you a surprise in your inbox every week, but I am sending my newsletters more frequently now, with updates on my book that I’m publishing with Blue Sky Daisies. You guys, I am just so excited about this new picture book on the life of LEGO founder, Ole Kirk Christiansen! His life was extraordinary, not to mention the life of his son, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen. Let’s just say, if you do not know the term “clutch power”, you will know that and so much MORE after reading my book. The illustrator will be announced in time, and I will keep you updated on the process.
What do you think?
If that’s not enough to interest you, then that’s cool. I respect that. I just do not want you to miss out on the extras I include in the newsletter, either, like the FREE extension activities that pair with each Classical Conversations week. (Hint: this week’s activity involves LEGO!)
If you want to access all the good stuff, then head over to my Newsletter tab and sign up. Or, you can just click the button below.
Until later, my friends!
XO,
